Educational Philosophy

We, the members of the SAU 21 educational community, are committed to developing life long learners who are creative and critical thinkers and who contribute to a changing global society. The SAU 21 educational community consists of students, teachers, parents, administrators, school board members and the community-at-large working collaboratively towards this mission.

Welcome

Our coastal location offers wonderful venues for the arts, history, healthy lifestyles, and access to distinctive environmental and educational resources. Our proximity to Boston and the University of NH provides extended learning opportunities for our teachers, students and community. Welcome to SAU 21!

District Professional Learning Goal

SAU21 Districts will develop a fully-aligned competency-based curriculum across disciplines by collaborating and communicating with stakeholders as measured by completed common assessments, rubrics, and reporting tools to advance student learning within a growth model by June, 2020.

How to Learn Math for Teachers & Parents

This online course is offered by Dr. Jo Boaler at Stanford on growth-oriented math.

If we can gather 30 teachers & parents to enroll...we can reduce the cost from $100 to $80 each. If you are a teacher please go to MyLearningPlan to enroll. If you are a parent please contact Phyllis at 926-8992 x105 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to enroll.

Our office will do the mass enrollment to garner the reduced cost to all. If we do not hit the 30 mark, the cost is $100. 30hrs CEUs is the recommended professional learning time which should be supported in MLP by evidence with reflection on student learning or developed activities for student tasks and learning.
